This is one of the most popular excursions in Zanzibar, often referred to as the "Spice Island" — a nickname earned in the 19th century when Zanzibar became one of the world's leading producers of spices including cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, black pepper, and vanilla.

Our guided walk takes you through lush tropical plantations where you'll see, smell, taste, and touch the very spices that shaped Zanzibar's history. Learn about traditional uses in cooking, medicine, and even beauty rituals.
